Graduation, August 2019

18th - 21st August
Flew to Sydney to meet up with my mum and visited her friend that lives in Dubbo, which is a town located 5 hours away from SYD. It was not a very enjoyable ride because I got car sick, and travelling by car 10 hours return in 2 days was not very pleasant for me. hahahhaha. Regardless, we got the chance to visit the Black Tambourine cafe which is owned by my mum's friend, where we had 2 days of free breakfast there /grins/. We also visited blue mountains and Three sisters on the way back to Sydney. which we were very lucky that the weather was great then!

saw some really cute Dachshund puppies <3

21st August, Wednesday
Arrived in Hobart ! Jason came to pick us up and we had a light lunch (Nandos), cause mum loves NANDOS and was craving for some chicken! XD hahahaha and then we came back to my place to pack my clothes enough for a couple of days in airbnb in North Hobart. The airbnb was fantastic! Mum loved it a lot when I turned on her jazz music through the speakers in the living room. We rested for a bit and then got ready to have dinner at Urban Greek. I had always wanted to bring her to have Greek food because there aren't many Greek restaurants in KL. SO YEAH. WE even ordered a white wine according to my taste, which was sweet like juice and everyone hated it HAHAHAHHA XD

we had octopus too! but i dont know why i didnt take a picture of that hahaha

22nd August, Thursday
We woke up around 8am and the weather was quite gloomy and wet. Mum wanted to wash her laundry and we went around looking for a dryer. BUT BEFORE THAT, we had a good breakfast so gooood, at Harbour Lights~ eventhough the coffee that day wasn't really good, the coffee person is quite inconsistent with their taste of coffee and my cappuccino was KINDA BITTER, but the food saved it tho. after drying our clothes, we went to visit the MONA museum. I never thought that mum would enjoy arts, more than I do! I brought her around creepy artworks and we had goood lamb shank in FARO, which is this beautifully designed restaurant within the museum. :D

these ooysters were so gooodddddd, changed my mind of preferring unflavoured ones

Picked up Jamie from Leprena and went to Invermay campus to get my hood for graduation attire and we went to tsing wah to buy some hotpot stuff for our dinner ! WE chat a lot and talked about how Jamie could start a sambal business with her good skills in making chilli.HEHEHHE. Mum also bought me beautiful flowers for graduation :)

24th August, Saturday GRADUATION DAY !
We woke up early and fetched Hung from the airport and we had breakfast at the cataract basin cafe. the view was good, overlooking cataract gorge, HOWEVER, the food was meh. and it costed HUng 75$ what! the coffee sucked as well. never going there again! We rushed back after breakfast and quickly gt ready for graduation. The ceremony went on for an hour and we met all friends and family after it ended, all the last time we will ever see eaech other again. :') it was bittersweet.

25th August, Sunday
SO, we were kind freaked out the day before because i did not book any accommodation for us for this day, cause i wasnt sure if we were going to stay in launnie or head down to hobart or camp somewhere LOL. BUT hung and I discussed and I decided to bring them to Wineglass Bay for a nature and quiet stay there for a night. WE bought groceries from Coles, to make sure we dont starve in that area, CUZ LIKE its a town and tourist area but... not very convenient. We hiked up 1 hour to see the wineglass bay view, we even had a good share of seafood at thee Freycinet marine farm. Mum and Hung loved the seafood there! IT was very refreshing hehe. after that, we check in out airbnb, which was very last minute booked and I cooked pasta and prawn salad for dinner :) it was a lovely night we spend watching some videos through the TV using HDMI connection to my laptop, watched THE VOICE and we had a good laugh. XD mum was thinking to extend her stay in SYD when we goes back hahaha but she couldn't decide. always changing decisions! typical of mum HAHHAHA

26th August, Monday
We headed back to Hobart and otw, stopped by a couple of places, like BICHENO to see the blowhole, SWANSEA for toilet break and then back to old hobart city. :)) Upon reaching Hobart, we had CYCLO vietnamese food and the FOOD WAS SO GOODDDDDDDD omg. PHO SO GOOOOOOD. had a big meal mainly so that HUNG wont get hungry on his flight back to PRH. :D

We checked in Hotel Grand Chancellor and was surprised with champagne on the table with a great night view of the waterfront harbour. Mum was so happy she was smilling so much :D she took amazing pictures of the view which all the hotel staff was impressed of and wanted to post it on the hotel instagram page. :O
On that night, we thought we were going to have dinner with my boss from Minggor but ended up just two of us having dinner cooked by my boss cuz all of them were still working.... owhhhhh.

27th August, Tuesday
In the morning we went up to mount wellington to see the view of hobart city and snow! IT was so windy we almost got blew away! After, Mr. Jason took us around to POrt ARthur, where we had as mum claims 'the best lunch she had so far' XD and we stuffed ourselves with desserts and kept laughing at each other. hahhahahahaa. after a very filling lunch, we headed to see Devil's Kitchen, Tasman Arch andddddd TASMANIAN DEVILS! it was a fulfilling day really. And I finally saw the tasmaniana devil with my own eyes! and also got the answer to questions that I had about them being endangered.
We got back to the hotel aroundd 6pm and rested for awhile before heading to the DRUNKEN ADMIRAL for seafood dinner. OH the mixed grill was suh good! love it. And we also had this hand crafted ginger beer which tasted likee sprite! XD

OHHHHH last dayyyyy, we headed up to Richmond which was on the way to the airport and visited the oldest church in Australia est 1836 if I am not wrong. HAD a breakfast for mum before she flew to make sure she wasnt hungry, which she also claimed that it was 'the best breakfast so far' because the hollndaise sauce was on the side hAHHAhaha. the coffee was great but i didnt have it cuz i had a headache so i had tea and scone! :)
I checked in at the airport with mum and we arrived at the perfect time for her to enter the gate and board her flight for 1 45 pm flight to sydney. :) I am really happy everything turned out so well in Tassie and I knew that mum would love it as much as I do. Can't wait for the next trip where Bryan comes along and we woould do more extreme stuff during the warmer season. :D
